improve your English speaking skills in our conversation group for speakers of
other languages. All levels are welcome.

Would your child like to read with an enthusiastic teen volunteer? Our teen Reading Buddies are ready to share their love of reading with your child this summer. Buddies will be paired for the summer and meet weekly to pick out books and practice reading skills together in an encouraging environment. Fun learning activities will follow reading sessions.
Families with children and teens are invited to kick off Summer Adventures by designing a ceramic mug using markers and paint. Come prepared to get messy. Children under 6 must be accompanied by an adult.
We will read great stories, make some themed crafts, play
fun games, experiment with science & create a little bit of art. So come
and join the fun at your neighborhood library. For children entering grades
1-5. Registration is required.
This camp runs from Monday – Friday.
Registering for one day will automatically register you for the full week.
Please register only if you can attend all five days.
Children entering kindergarten through the second grade are invited to come and read with a teen volunteer. We'll have one-on-one or small group pairings depending on attendance. No registration is required. Questions? Call the Madeira Branch and ask for Bess.
Join us at the Westwood Library for Balloon Fun with Looney Ballooney! Looney Ballooney will entertain children by making balloon art creations. Sponsored by the Friends of the Public Library. No registration required.
This program from the Kennedy Heights Art Center will include a brief presentation on African-American artist, Amy Sherald, who has been selected to paint the official portrait of former First Lady, Michelle Obama. After the presentation children will create their own artwork after the style of Amy Sherald.
Prevent the summer slide and read books with us! We will read together for an hour each Monday through July 30. The first book will be "The Girl Who Drank the Moon" by Kelly Barnhill. Members will choose any additional titles. Registration recommended. Ages 8-12.
Children ages 5-12 are invited to have fun conducting science experiments, creating arts and crafts projects, and completing quick technology, engineering and math activities. No registration required.
